Description

Inspired by the dolphin cutouts on the River to Sea boardwalk, we will be making a dolphin design with mixed shells at the incomparable Marineland, established in 1938.

I have been visiting this park since I was a child and it is very exciting to be invited to teach a series of art classes celebrating marine life.

I will have all the supplies needed, but you are welcome to bring shells or glass that are special to you that you would like to include.

The wooden shadowbox is made with real glass and with the 1″ white border, will create a polished finished artwork that you will be proud of.

I will post an image of the completed design here once I finish it, but have included a photo of shells from another design that reflects what assortment you can expect to work with.

Ragga Cafe is downstairs, but I will also have refreshments.

If that wasn’t enough, each class ticket will come with 1 free admission pass to Marineland good through the end of the year.

We will also be treated to a jump display of the dolphins before they end their day, promptly at 3pm, so arrive a little early.

If you would like your picture taken with the dolphins, that will also happen before class starts, $10 donation directly to Marineland (no need to prepay).
